Cellular memory is the complete story of your life that accumulates into the cellular level of your body. Your physical, spiritual and emotional history gets stored into your cells which form the database of your life.
Imagine this: a visceral reaction runs through your body and you can’t stop it. You might vomit, become breathless or you might even “lose your legs,” and it’s all because a cellular memory was triggered deep within your body by a specific smell, taste, touch, sound or visual stimulation. Can you relate?
Basically, your body just reminded you of a past echo stored deep in your cells rather than your head. Some recent studies show that we carry our past in our muscles, connective tissue, and several other organs in addition to our brains. For years now we have had reports of shadow memories from heart transplant donors. Some science suggests a large number of memories manifesting in muscles. We have an incredibly massive scope for capturing our historical identity than just our intellect.
What does this all mean?
The ultimate key to a happy and meaningful life stems from our most profound messages and learnings that aggregate deep within our tissue. They can bring us as far as unlocking our purpose path and mastering our relationships. What stops this potential is the fact that not all of these memories give us joy. For many people, our trauma gets stored along with everything else and may bubble up in various ways when we attempt to launch into self-development.
When asked about the commitment for their own physical and psycho-emotional well-being, most people complain that they don’t have time to put their health first. For you, this means forever playing catch up with your body and possibly leaving you in a reactive space of “I’ll stop when I’m sick enough.” Therefore, unless we harness our cellular history, we will be held back from both kinesthetic intelligence as well as the psycho-emotional healing process.
What if I said you can achieve a healthy lifestyle because you can unlock your body’s wisdom in weight loss and fitness without extensive sessions at the gym or physical self punishment?
What if I told you that you can heal most physical conditions by tuning into and resolving the cellular memory stored in your body?
What would happen if you began to respect your biological coding and started to live the life meant for you?
I can certainly tell you what happened to me.
My childhood was rough to say the least. I endured physical, emotional and sexual abuse and those experiences certainly left their mark on my body. I was addicted to high performance since I measured my self worth with it. My internal dialogue told me to “keep quiet” as I wasn’t important, and to “please others” so that I wouldn’t appear too weird.
That period of suppressed expression manifested into a congenital hip condition which basically means a very severe form of osteoarthritis. At 13 years old I was told that unless I stopped playing sports and riding horses, I would be crippled by the age of 30.
Luckily at 13, I realized that a negative inner voice and clinging to suppressed cellular memories would keep me locked into a restricted range of motion. If I accepted these constricting beliefs as my creed, I would stay stuck in a rut for the rest of my life. This would affect my emotional and physical health as well as my level of gratitude through the years to come. Instead of simply accepting my faith of limited health and happiness, I chose to work on my body-mind connection and achieve an unrestricted, satisfying life by actively releasing and healing the unfavorable wounding with positive nostalgia.
To see something similarly life-changing happen for you would be wonderful. However, it will take determination and a special kind of stubbornness to succeed in the transformation of your cellular memory, and it won’t be a once-off event either.
If you are ready to commit to true body, mind and soul freedom, be prepared to be gentle with yourself and have patience even when the going gets tough. You can do it. I believe in you.
A Step By Step Guide
Step 1: Become aware (or have openness to becoming aware) of your negative cellular memory patterning.
Step 2: Get into conscious movement. Nothing will shift from your body without movement because humans are designed to be in motion. A lack of movement makes it very hard to shift from a negative pattern into a positive one. Make action FUN! Play with your dog!
Go dancing, swimming, running, or do whatever else to feel alive.
Step 3: Parent yourself. Don’t judge whatever comes through you during this process. Instead, simply acknowledge the emotional pain that comes up and parent yourself through it. For example, if anger arises do some release work by writing through that feeling or shouting into a pillow. This will release the pent up anger and resentment you may be carrying in your cells, and the relief arrives immediately. Take the catharsis a step further by parenting yourself out of your anger. Teach yourself about the meaning of emotions with grace and acceptance.

Step 4: Release the negative cellular memory through meditation. Set out the intention of letting go of any past damage before your meditation and consciously feel them fade during your practice.
Step 5: Replace the released negative cellular memory with a new and more positive kind. Your inner parenting skills are imperative here. You need to choose the kind of parenting style that you wished you had as a child, and enforce uplifting messages into your psyche.
In Summary
How would you feel if the hurts from your past finally fell away and you were free to live the life you have always wanted but have felt held back from? Would you finally allow yourself to rest into liberty?
What would your life look like if you committed to these steps?
Releasing cellular trauma helps propel your self development and lets you go deeper into your gifts and helps bring them into the world.
You would have power over how you experience life. In other words, you now have a choice.
You can choose the bigger, better life you always dreamed of because negative cellular memories are no longer holding you back.
You set a positive legacy for future generations and impact those around that mean the most to you.
I think you’re worth it. Do you?

EFT is great for releasing the cellular memory, but not great for rebuilding the relationship with your conscious and subconscious mind that binds together all the 4 people that live within you. But for release, yes, it’s great.
I think EFT tapping called Emotional Freedom Technique would be easier and give quicker results. It’s really helping me to let go of past pains and bad experiences. It’s amazing!
Hey there! Thanks for your comment, loving your reflections. xx
I really enjoyed reading this and would like to go deeper into the practices you have suggested, along with using essential oils as an added adjunct, as they also help to release subconscious and cellular memory…thank you.
