I’m an ISTP and I’m pretty sure every time I so much as try to bring up type to an xSTJ or ENTJ they have a Fi meltdown. It’s baffling.
Y’all over here talking about how bad Antonia’s Fe is… I envy her tact, honestly. Still being able to present all the facts without upsetting people at very turn. It’s not enough caution that I get annoyed, but just enough that I can tell she cares and is trying to make sure the listener feels comfortable and welcome
And I can confirm as a Ti dom that I am idle in the background trying to understand and practice for myself first. I wonder if this is part of the INTP / ISTP disconnect— for me, to buy something online the value has to be very extremely high. I’ll buy books all day long because they’re tangible. I can’t justify it but that tangibility is important to my Se. Wanted to mention this in case it added to the owner’s manual sales conversation in any productive manner.
Spot on, Joel, re: listing Antonia’s qualities that have enabled me to trust you guys as a source of gold (ESTP Owner Manual purchaser who has listened to your Podcast since 2014). Don’t ever underestimate, though, your own ENFP-infused contributions of self-deprecating humour, warmth and light touch/firm grasp wisdom as you riff engagingly together. It provides my Fe Tertiary ‘10 year old’ reassurance that ‘Mom and Dad are just joking with each other, not fighting…enjoy their banter’ :) You are my weekly go to place for giving my Ne 8th ‘Daemon’ function a safe place to chill in its maximal uncertainty by simply witnessing two lovely, credible and smart folk who both lead with it sharing so generously – and me not have to try to join in…phew! :) ESTPs not yet linking our drive for ‘self-optimization’ with purchasing and absorbing your content might be missing a trick… :)
