So if we want to take our mental processes from merely often used to developed, what are some ways to do this for each of the mental processes?
I feel like my introverted functions get used a lot more than my extroverted functions -minus extroverted intuition. Also I am introverted feeling dominant and while I’m always “feeling”, I don’t find that it feels good to use this function. On the contrary. It’s so unaccepted in society and the world does not hold up to my ideals. I usually end up feeling like an alien. I’m INFP by the way.
Thanks for the feedback, Beckie! You make an excellent point! “Exercise” implies continued practice and hard work, which is soothing when you consider that all of us can master these skills with enough effort. There’s no barrier of entry as long as we are willing to put in the work.
Thanks again!
I think the contrast between “use” and “exercise” is very poignant here because the former speaks to a passive, unconscious state while the latter indicates an informed decision to take focused control as drivers of our own attitudes and choices. I find this notion very soothing. :)
