Happy Holidays! As the year comes to a close, we wanted to take a moment to express our gratitude for your support and engagement with Personality Hacker. It has been a unique and challenging year, but we are so thankful to have you as part of our community. We hope that you have a wonderful holiday season and a happy new year. Wishing you all the best in the coming year.
We are celebrating and wrapping up the year of 2022 by reflecting on all the ways we use personality: from work to relationships, to solving life problems, to creating connection and community. As the year comes to a close, we wanted to take a moment to reflect on some of our most exciting projects and the best resources of 2022.

-
We released three brand-new programs, created by Joel and Antonia.

Popular Podcasts of 2022
This year has been a big one for podcasts!
In September, we crossed 13 million downloads, which is more people listening than ever before.
We also started releasing video podcasts, so now you can watch us in action on our YouTube channel. It’s been so awesome to see our podcasts reach even more ears (and now eyes) this year.
We also launched a new seasonal show in February called 10 Minute Type Advice which answers type and growth based questions from the audience… in about 10 minutes. This show covers a range of questions such as “Can an INFJ be spontaneous?“, “Do Personality Types Have Different Styles Of Humor?“, and “Is there a benefit to identifying with more than one personality type?” The short episodes are a great, bite-sized listen. You can also ask your own questions about type and growth here.
By far, the most popular podcast series of 2022 was our 16 Personality Interview Series. In this series, we had honest conversations with people who embody their personality in their daily lives rather than just view them as a theoretical concept. It made the conversations deeply meaningful.
We heard from an ESFP – ISTJ – ESTJ – ISFP – ENFJ – ISTP – ENTP – ENFP – ISFJ – INFP – INTP – ENTJ – ESFJ – INTJ – ESTP – and INFJ.
To wrap up the series, Joel and Antonia recorded a podcast called Reflecting on our Personality Type Interviews, where they shared their own thoughts and insights from the interviews.
Navigating Life With Your Personality Owners Manual
Once you’ve identified your best fit personality type and want to learn more, creating your Personality Owners Manual is a great way to dive deeper. Our approach uses the Car Model to help you unlock your personal growth and potential, and it serves as the foundation for many of our programs.
This year, Joel and Antonia revamped all 16 Personality Owners Manuals to include a more in-depth, self-coaching digital guide. These guides are designed to help you better understand yourself, your type, and how to navigate the world as your unique self.
We’re really proud of these updates and excited to offer them to our community. If you want to learn more about creating your own Owners Manual and how it can support your personal development journey, be sure to check it out.
Coaching: Using Personality Type for Guided Personal Growth
Once you’ve created your Personality Owners Manual to get to know your type and understand yourself better, coaching can be a valuable next step on your personal growth journey. It allows you to take these tools to the next level and apply them in a more focused and targeted way.
We have a talented team of in-house personality profilers, and this year we’ve taken things to the next level by developing our own unique coaching offer.
We’re so happy to welcome Gary Williams to the team as our in-house coach. Gary works with clients to find tools and strategies that can help them maximize their potential and put them on a path to happiness and fulfillment. Regardless of the challenges you’re facing, Gary can help you find ways to use your personality to overcome them.
The Personality Life Path: Applying Personality Type to the World and Our Shadows
This year, we were thrilled to launch a brand new 8-week program called the Personality Life Path. Many people focus on developing and growing their first four cognitive functions in the Car Model, but what about the other four functions in the shadow?
These functions are hidden from us and can seem out of reach. To explore this subject and the impact it can have on our lives, we took a small, intimate group of people on a journey to expand their understanding of personality type by going deeper and working with their shadow functions.
The program included eight weeks of online mentorship calls, during which we examined one of the eight function energies and how they show up both on an individual level and archetypically in the world around us. This allowed the students to really embody the different energies and start to embrace their shadow functions.
The course concluded with a 2-day live event in Joel and Antonia’s hometown of Gettysburg, PA. One of the highlights of this live event was being able to livestream it as a hybrid experience, allowing everyone to participate and co-create the magic regardless of their location. We can’t wait to repeat this experience in 2023 and connect with more of our community on this life-changing journey.
Check out our video “Personality Motivation & Balancing the Demands of Life” to get a glimpse into the topic.
Couples Mapping: Applying Personality Type to Relationships
Relationships are a vital aspect of our lives, but they can also be a significant source of tension and strife. That’s why we’re always happy to offer relationship advice to our community, and we believe that applying personality to relationships can be incredibly beneficial.
In February, we hosted a Virtual 2-day Couples Mapping event that brought together a group of couples to explore strategies, perspective shifts, and tools to improve their relationships and better understand each other.
By examining the energies of the eight functions through the lens of personality type, participants were able to identify their pain points, have meaningful conversations with each other and the group, and gain a deeper understanding of their partner.
It was an amazing experience, and the group size allowed everyone to get personalized advice from Joel and Antonia over the two days. We also offer a self-guided digital version of Couples Mapping that’s available all year round to support couples around the world. Whether you’re just starting out or have been together for years, these resources can help you build stronger, more satisfying relationships.

Tools for Emotional Survival: Applying Personality to Mental Health and Well Being
Did you know that your personality type can determine the best strategies for improving your well-being, even in stressful times?
At Personality Hacker, we believe that the most effective tools are those that are tailored to your mental wiring. This belief became especially important during the uncertain and difficult times caused by world events, as we saw increasing needs within our community.
In response, we created a virtual workshop called “Tools for Emotional Survival.” This three-part workshop showed how to reduce stress, enhance self-care, and boost optimism based on your unique personality. It was a wonderful opportunity to check in with our community and provide support and tools that can be used throughout life.
At Personality Hacker, we place a high value on your mental well-being, as our mission is to help people on their growth journey and ultimately spark happiness. If you need this kind of support right now, you can access one, two, or all three of these workshops to get the guidance and support we all need during difficult times. The recordings of the live workshop are still available, so you don’t have to miss out.
A key point in this program is our relationship to uncertainty and how it impacts our ability to manage stress and remain optimistic. For a taste, check our video podcast “Personality Types and Uncertainty.“
Profiler Training: Applying Personality Type to Skill Building
Our goal is to empower individuals to become their best selves and make a positive impact on society. That’s why we created the Profiler Training Program for those in our community who are captivated by personality and want to explore it more deeply.
This course helps you master your understanding of the 16 personalities and how to identify these patterns in others, deepening your self-connection and enabling you to help others through this framework. We ran this program twice this year and held two live events, connecting with students from all around the globe.
We were honored to welcome more than 60+ new students from Canada, New Zealand, Chile, Sweden, the UK, the US, Australia, China, Germany, Spain, and Finland.
We’re grateful to have met so many amazing people and we’re looking forward to our Winter/Spring Profiler Training and meeting all the new students from this most recent cohort.
Mentorships: Applying Personality One Type at a Time
We’ve found that being in a room full of people with the same personality type creates a special and unique dynamic. Since 2020, we’ve brought people of like minds together in mentorship courses to learn from and benefit from each other’s experiences.
This year in 2022, our online mentorship focused on INTJ, INTP, and ENTJ types. Each mentorship provided unique growth opportunities by exploring functions and the car model.
But the real magic comes from learning from the collective wisdom of your type, with many “aha” and lightbulb moments. Growth is exponential when you can listen to and learn from others who have the same mental wiring as you, feeling understood and not alone.
There is so much to be discovered and learned from each other, making this mentorship electric and impactful.
Profiler Dynamics: Using Personality Type as a Diagnostic Tool
This year, Antonia created brand new course Profiler Dynamics. This new program was inspired by Joel and Antonia working with renowned coach, Dr. John Beebe.
This advanced course teaches students how to identify and diagnose problems by working with the energies of the 8 functions and their shadow functions. It helps people understand the root causes of their problems and provides them with simple steps to solve them and prevent them from happening again in the future.
Antonia even recorded the course in front of a live studio audience, giving students the unique opportunity to watch and be part of its creation.
Profiler Dynamics is perfect for Profiler Training graduates who want to take their understanding of personality type to the next level. And it’s a great stepping stone for students on the path towards coaching.
A part of the program dives into each personality’s subtype. We think you’ll love the video podcast “Neuroscience and the 4 Personality Subtypes (with Dr. Dario Nardi)”
Using Personality in a Way To Build Community
Our community is the driving force behind everything we do, and there’s nothing we love more than bringing everyone together to geek out and discuss all things personality.
This year, we hosted our first-ever live video podcast event in Gettysburg, Pennsylvania, where we invited our community to participate in the creation of the podcast episode by asking questions and sharing their own type advice.
It was a truly special experience to have our community contribute their energies and wisdom to this unique episode, and we can’t wait to do it again in the future!
