Explore Your Personality: In this episode, Joel and Antonia dive deep into the process of discovering your best-fit personality type. They walk through the four essential protocols used in professional profiling sessions (rapport, interview, verification, and mapping) and explain how anyone can apply these steps in self-assessment. Along the way, they debunk common MBTI myths, share personal insights, and highlight why thoughtful self-inquiry matters more than just taking a test. Whether you're new to typology or still unsure of your type, this episode offers a grounded, practical path to finding clarity.

The first test I took was on Personality16.com and got INTJ. That didn’t feel right and took it again and got ISTJ and it still didn’t feel right. I have Kindle Unlimited and searched mbti personality and the book that resonated to me was Decode Your Personality by Dario Nardi and reading his book I felt more in line with a INFJ. Anyway I was a YouTube video from Personality Junky and she mentioned Personality Hackers that she learned from you and took your test and took your test by your instructions and got INFJ and took the test at Personality Junkies and got INFJ. I brought the INFJ Owners Manual.
I enjoy your podcasts very much and really appreciate the modeling and transparency in every episode!
My comment is specifically about the beginning of the episode rather than the majority of the content, but I wanted to mention it. I often feel triggered when someone repeats a point I just made in a group conversation, as if I hadn’t communicated it clearly. I’ve been wondering whether this happens when someone with extroverted feeling (Fe) believes a miscommunication has occurred, even when it has not. I’ve noticed that people with an apparent Fe/Ti combination often speak at a different pace and sometimes repeat things more slowly because they assume the group didn’t fully receive the message. It’s also possible they need to process aloud to fully take in what was said.
Of course, just as I might be wrong in thinking I delivered the message clearly, they might be wrong in thinking it wasn’t received. I imagine this dynamic is especially tricky in a podcast setting, where you can’t see listeners’ reactions in real time.
Thanks again for the transparency!
(INTJ Preferences, probably)
hey guys this isn’t able to be downloaded for some reason, is it just me?
@Adam — Thank you for being a podcast listener & for the heads up. We re-uploaded and it should work now. Please let us know if it doesn’t.
Hi, INFJ preferences. There’s something wrong with this episode. It stops/jumps to the end just after 11 minutes – both Apple Podcasts and the track on this page.
