Thanks for another good episode. I actually started listening to this one as a way to make myself feel energized enough to begin a workout haha. I loved the bit about there being some things that we’ll never have certainty about. And I found it especially useful to think about the energy cost of uncertainty – this helped me acknowledge how much energy I’ve had to use to handle my new responsibilities at work this year.

I so enjoy listening to you two, especially when I’m driving. I’m currently driving / passengering 2000 miles! After this episode #609, I’m going to listen to How to love myself as an ENFP. I also like that the Youtube channel has them all under the playlist section.
On another podcast it was mentioned that because you two converse with each other, it makes your offering valuable. I agree! I realize I feel like a 3rd person in the room. When Joel says pop over to the comments and let us know xyz, I want to do it but usually am on the move while listening. So know I am listening and appreciate all you both do!

Motivation – going forward – new strategy for maintaining a healthy body. Tie motivation into effectiveness (co-pilot), and authenticity (10-year-old). Ask myself questions before, during, or after action. I don’t want to wake up at 4am to exercise. Is it effective to put the alarm on snooze and not have time for the workout? Understanding that it is inefficient gives me the drive to do it. Why do I want to maintain a healthy body and not eat whatever I want whenever I want? I don’t want to be a burden to my family by not being able to care for myself as I age. Authenticity is harder to use but does have meaning(purpose). I am going to use the driver (memory) to fill the uncertainty. I have been healthy before, I know how to be healthy, and I can do it. I found it extremely helpful to hear your thoughts on motivation.

Hi Antonia and Joel, As always, a wonderful podcast. I love the more unvarnished, personal approach.

My dirty motivation, as a ENFJ, not surprisingly is disappointing people. I want to meet/exceed people’s expectations. I am working on understanding that people’s expectations are about them, are their own, and sometimes life is more interesting when expectations go unmet or are broken. I’m trying to redirect my motivation to align with my intentions.

I hope you’re both well! Thank you for all you do.
