Pioneering personal development through the lens of personality models
Meet Personality Hacker
Personality Hacker is an organization designed to help people leverage their own mental processes to optimize whatever can be optimized: productivity, communication, job satisfaction, and most importantly – happiness.
When we get these needs met we stop being so myopic and start seeing a bigger picture.
The Three Primary Areas Of Focus In Our Programs
Who You Are
You’re used to being the ‘odd man out’. You may even feel like you’ve been an alien your entire life. You’re used to seeing things other people miss, making accurate predictions, having one-sided relationships and feeling marginalized/misunderstood/invalidated.
You may have discovered you’re an Intuitive in the Myers-Briggs system and that helped explain a lot about you. But that’s not the end of the journey. In fact, that’s just the beginning.
If you ask yourself:
- How can I harness this understanding?
- How can I make a big impact in the world?
- How can I find my ‘tribe’?
- How can I become the absolute best version of myself and know I left the camp better than when I got here?
If you are intimately concerned with these questions, then Personality Hacker is passionate about providing you with tools and resources to make a big difference in the world.
Who You Aren’t
Our goal isn’t to dissect personality typing systems for their own sake, but rather to utilize them in order to reprogram our minds.
Like Jack Kornfield says, “Every facet, every department of your mind, is to be programmed by you. And unless you assume your rightful responsibility, and begin to program your own mind, the world will program it for you.”
Who We Are
It seems clear to us that there are a lot of people who have it in them to be contributors or even the driving force to solve major local and global issues.
There’s a talent pool of amazing people just waiting to be ignited.
But not everyone with the talent grabs the torch and runs with it.
Our suspicion? We get lost in our own issues, problems, and self-doubt.
With some focus on our growth and development, we can do extraordinary things when we climb our way out of our own narratives.
The reason why we love personality psychology is that we’ve observed growth can get derailed when you don’t know your type, aka ‘how your brain is wired’.
For example, you may LOVE growth/achievement gurus like Anthony Robbins, David Allen, Oprah Winfrey, etc. and work to emulate them. But if you have a different type than they do you may bend over backwards to copy their methods, advice, and path only to have minimal results.
If you know your type, however, you can find the right people to emulate along with methods that focus on your natural strengths.
Looking through the lens of Myers-Briggs and Jungian psychology is the first entry point.
But the cookie crumb trail doesn’t end there.
We also love the Enneagram, the Graves Model (the root model for Spiral Dynamics), Leary’s 8 Circuit model (as described by Robert Anton Wilson), Systems Thinking, General Semantics, and a host of other maps and models that we feel guide our path toward making a real impact.
Some of our stuff is shallow (for beginners), and some of it goes way down the rabbits’ hole (for the typology geeks). The entry point isn’t the important thing, it’s how you apply it to become the best version of you.
