I’m in no way affiliated with a psychological field—I’m just a Jane Doe trying to figure myself out. The MBTI was the one thing that helped me all those decades ago when I took it (INTJ). It helped me understand aspects of myself but didn’t solve everything. For example, as I recall INTJ’s are associated with careers in the sciences and engineering, which couldn’t be further from me or my interests, although I am very analytical by nature. Thanks for this podcast. Makes me want to go dig out my copy of “Please Understand Me” and read it again. 8-)

Hi it’s Kim with ENFP preference I think most people now are saying that MBTI is not as useful they want to go deeper like into Carl Jung’s work which is complex I think for a person who is coming into the typology community knowing nothing or a little bit about type . I think it’s like dropping a person out of a plane in the deep water when they can’t swim when they should learn to swim in the shallow end so MBTI is the sounding board for people to eventually be transitioning into Jung’s work .
